ASSOCIAZIONE DISSONANZEN was founded in 1993 by Marco Vitali, cellist, with the aim of freeing avantgarde music from the specialistic circuits, It is made up of musicians and non-musicians. To date Dissonanzen has put on 8 concert seasons, featuring masterworks of the 20th century, experimentations from the 60s and 7Os. newly created works. Dissonanzen has also explored other avenues of expression, with Gli antichi e i moderni, encounters between texts and musical performance from the past and the present, and DissonTanzen, involving collaboration between choreographers, dancers, composers and musicians. L'Associazione Dissonanzen is recognised by the Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali, Dipartimento dello Spettacolo.
